Overview of the Department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education
The Department of Special Needs and Inclusive Education at Bule Hora University was established in 2020 (2012 E.C.) to address the growing demand for trained professionals in the field of Special Needs and Inclusive Education. Currently, the department has 36 students enrolled in its regular undergraduate program. The department aims to equip students with practical skills to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and contribute to creating an inclusive society. Through its mission, the department focuses on raising awareness, promoting good cultural practices, and addressing harmful practices that affect health and productivity. The program emphasizes teaching, research, and community service, preparing graduates to work in various educational settings and provide essential services to individuals and organizations.

To be a leading department in Special Needs and Inclusive Education in Ethiopia, recognized for producing competent professionals who contribute to an inclusive society by 2030.

To produce graduates with practical skills in Special Needs and Inclusive Education who can work at the grassroots level to foster awareness, reduce poverty, promote cultural practices, and address harmful behaviors affecting health and productivity.
