Overview of the Department of Early Childhood Care and Education
The Department of Early Childhood Care and Education, established in 2018 (2011 E.C.), is a vital part of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Bule Hora University. The department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Care and Education, focusing on producing well-trained professionals who can effectively apply principles, concepts, theories, and practices in the field. Graduates are employed across various regions and sectors, addressing the needs of governmental, non-governmental, and private agencies. The department is dedicated to conducting quality research on child-related educational and social issues while providing essential public services to individuals and institutions. To support its mission, the department is staffed by qualified academicians, including 2 MA holders, and is equipped with necessary facilities, although it currently has only one classroom and lacks a common computer lab.
