Overview
Established in 2012 under the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, our department has graduated over 60 students since 2015 and currently serves 34 undergraduates with 5 dedicated faculty members. We specialize in analyzing Ethiopia's dynamic political landscape and Africa's international relations, offering a robust BA program that combines political theory with practical global affairs studies.

To become a premier center of excellence in political science education and research, developing leaders who address governance challenges and promote sustainable development in Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa.
Mission
To produce analytically skilled graduates capable of understanding complex political systems, contributing to Ethiopia's democratization, and providing research-based solutions to regional and global challenges through quality education and community engagement.
