Overview of the Department of Educational Planning and Management
The Department of Educational Planning and Management, established in the 2011/2018 academic year at Bule Hora University, operates under the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. It was created in response to the government's initiative to expand and diversify university education in Ethiopia. The department aims to produce competent educational leaders equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to address individual and organizational challenges within the Ethiopian education system. In addition to training professionals, the department is committed to supporting national development through quality education, community-based services, and research activities. Currently, the department offers a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Planning and Management, a Master of Arts in Educational Planning and Management (available in both regular and weekend formats), and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
