Overview of the Department of Curriculum and Teacher Education
The Department of Curriculum and Teacher Education (CTE) was established in the 2022 (2015 E.C.) academic year as part of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences at Bule Hora University. The department currently offers a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, available in both regular and weekend formats, although it is presently focused on weekend students and coordinating summer programs. In addition to its graduate offerings, the department provides common courses for summer students in various educational fields. Recognizing the growing demand for qualified professionals in education, the department aims to launch a Bachelor of Arts in Curriculum and Instructional Supervision to address the need for curriculum experts and instructional supervisors. The department is also planning to introduce a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching to enhance teacher training and professional development.

To be the preferred center of excellence in curriculum studies, teacher education, and instruction in Ethiopian universities, particularly at Bule Hora University, by 2030 G.C.
